Walk on Water
An Israeli Mossad agent has the mission to track down and kill Alfred Himmelman, an ex-Nazi officer, who might still be alive. Acting as a tour guide, Eyal befriends his grandson Axel, in Israel to visit his sister. As the two men tour the country, Axel challenges Eyal’s values. The real meaning of walk on water is that one must get out of the boat and have enough confidence to do it. It is also the theme of this film, with its connections to the past and the present in an uneasy mix of prejudices and learning: how to overcome those personal inhibitions and flaws to finally be able to walk on water. 2005, 104 minutes

Praying with Lior
Not just a documentary film for diverse audiences, it is also the centerpiece of an ambitious outreach campaign to change the way people with disabilities are perceived and received by faith communities. Lior Liebling, called “the little rebbe”, has Down syndrome, and has spent his entire life praying with utter abandon. While everyone agrees Lior is closer to G-d, he’s also a burden, a best friend, an inspiration, and an embarrassment. As Lior approached Bar Mitzvah, different characters provide a window into life spent praying with Lior. 2007, 87 minutes.
