April 3 through April 5, The Second Annual Staunton Jewish Film Festival will be presenting BRIDGING GAPS, at Visulite Cinemas, Staunton, Virginia.This year's Festival begins with Opening Night Reception for Full Festival Pass holders on Friday, April 3rd, at Temple House of Israel at 5:30 p.m. Screenings that follow will be shown in the Visulite Cinemas. In addition to the five thought provoking, entertaining, and multi-cultural award winning films, there will be speakers with discussion periods, and tours offered at the historic Temple House of Israel Synagogue.
Films to be screened this season are: The Band's Visit; Everything is Illuminated; Promises; Emotional Arithmetic; and The Beetle.
Films were carefully chosen to examine the sensitive issues of cultural exclusivity and divisiveness, and what steps can be taken to bridge the gaps between varying ethnic groups.
Film Screenings: Friday, April 3rd at 7 p.m., 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, April 4th and 5th at 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m., and 9 p.m.
